Alaska Through The Eye's of a Local

I've lived in Alaska for my entire life and have had the privilege to be able to travel a lot during my life. I soon found a passion for photography after starting to work as a tour guide for a glacier and wildlife cruise in Valdez. In Valdez, I was presented with so much fantastic scenery and wildlife. The sights of the mountains and the animals brought out an amazing feeling that I wanted to capture. So I got my first camera and started to learn the trade.

If you look at something, whether it be scenery, a person, or an object and you feel something, that is when I reach for my camera. But when clicking the shutter I am not only shooting the subject, but also capturing the feeling of the entire scene. If you don't feel it then others won't either. I want to help others feel the wonder I feel when seeing the things I see.
